Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Two weddings for people I know.  Both today!  I wasn't at either f them but I can still congratulate and celebrate with them.

The upper picture, by cousin Mary Ann's son Lyle gets married in Waterbury CT.  At his own semi-rural home.  Mary Ann is at the far right.  Her husband, Denny is on the far left.  Lyle is a different drummer, he's in the shorts and the tri-colored bow tie and red hat.  I'm sure that his dad thought it was pretty odd that he would have to wear shorts to his son's wedding.  I think it fits perfectly.  I have not seen a picture of the cake to see the cake knife in action.  It belonged to Lyle's third great grandfather and it is used for all weddings.  I've had fit or a number of years for our weddings and sent it back to Mary Ann earlier this summer.

The second wedding is for Chelsea S (in the suit) who I know from her years as a softball played and coach.  She married Kaylee who coached with her.  They look so happy.  I first knew Chelsea as a Cal player and later as a coach at Oregon.  She was so good to us getting us tickets and spending time with us.  They came to Seattle Pops after Oregon's series with Oregon.  And now to U Texas.  I knew that wedding was going to take place.  It looks great.

Congrats to Lyle, Alli, Chelsea and Kaylee.!!

I knew Susanna wasn't there because we worked for her at a farmers market and she did the setup and take down which is a lot of the work.  It was cool, rainy and breezy in Seattle today which did NOT make for selling a lot of popsicles.

I also had sent my interview paper to an academic journal.  They sent it out for review and sent the report back to me.  Whew, the reviewer did not like it at all, nothing about it.  I didn't even read all of it but, gosh, tell me what you really think of it.  Now my sign in is screwed up and I don't think I'm ready to want to fix it and read the rest of it.  Man oh man, it was nasty.
