Writing postcards

We all do what we can.  I''ve signed up to write postcards to voters.  You can either go to sessions or you can do it yourself through tonythedemocrat.com.  It's part of get-out-the vote.  If voters receive hand-written postcards urging them to vote, will they follow through?  I went to a League of Women Voters a few weeks ago and they considered the postcard idea way too expensive.  I can see their point.  It costs .37 to mail.  My animal postcards only cost .12 apiece.  It takes a few minutes to write.  But still at least .50/postcard.  You can make a lot of phone calls quicker and cheaper.

But, what if you don't want to call people?  What if you are willing to fund postcards?

I was writing on behalf of a democratic candidate Caleb Frostman in a rural area around Green Bay Wisconsin.  I see last night that he eked out a victory.  Not by much but he won.  My postcards could have made a difference!
