The tulip fields
Today, Naomi, Susanna and Megan took me up to see the tulip fields in the Skagit Valley. It's a big deal around here to go look at the tulip fields this time of year to admire the fields. The growers let you stroll around and take pictures. I haven't been there for a long time. It's hard to know where to go. Susanna wanted to go up there. She says that she just follows the signs.
So off we went, we got going reasonable early 9 am; it's only about an hour away. Love the Skagit Valley. There was lots of people following those signs. They're starting to charge for admittance and for parking, why not?
What we learned: Don't go to the first place, way too crowded. Don't go to the second place, ditto. But stop at the small third place where we easily found parking and lots of tulips,
Hey, she just put up a picture:

Yeah it was ,muddy and really uneven and windy. But I had my walking stick and we had a great time, eating a picnic lunch out of the car and stopping at Rexville grocery for carrot cake. Home before 1pm.
Thanks, it was a nice time!
