When it was alive

I'm transcribing my interview with a local architect Norm S.  About the old sanctuary.  I told him that my focus had changed since I had talked to him last summer.  I was more interested in phenomenology; how people experienced the building.  Not dwelling on the failure of preserving the building.

"When it was alive," he said.
"When it was alive, exactly," I replied.

I've not found too many photos from inside the old sanctuary.  But here's one from another time and family.  Of a couple's 1957 wedding.  In front of the Aron in the old sanctuary.

Are they cute or what???  They're lovely now, also.
