Somebody's got a new car! and Go Hawks

My son-in-law Matt next to the new-to-them car that he and my daughter bought yesterday.  A 2012 Prius with 45K on it.  They're pretty happy about it.  They traded in the Buick that originally belonged to my mother.  Which had become unreliable plus had some electrical problem that nobody could identify.  Matt will drive this for his 50 mile commute to work.  Yes, he's wearing flip flops and yes, that's snow (they live in Indiana) in the background.  But that's how he rolls.

The big news in my town right this second is the comeback of the Seattle SeaHawks who looked dreadful the first 3 1/2 quarters and then made a huge comeback to beat the Green Bay Packers for the NFC Championship to go to the Super Bowl.  They didn't complete a pass or get a first down until midway through the second quarter.  But, at the end, it all came together.  People are nuts about the SeaHawks here.  But only because they're winning.  If not, it's just another rich man's game of overpaid athletes playing to fans who pay lots of money to watch.

The Super Bowl will be played in Glendale AZ.  The location of Naomi's school.  I'm thinking that most Super Bowl folks will never see the part of Glendale where she teaches.

I watched the game with the doggies.  Shira barks when I would cheer when the SeaHawks scored which wasn't until the end of the game.  She didn't know why she was barking but she kept it up for quite awhile.
