letterboxing as tourism
If you can find letterboxes in the area where you are traveling, they can be a great way to see things. Yes, you will wander being confused and the driver may complain that you don't know where you are going. Which you don't. The people writing the directions may not know how to write clearly. So maybe you might all kinds of crazy ways. But today, somehow we ran into the right place (hey we're ON Booth st! How did THAT happen. But we found 4 our of 4 today and saw a fabulous vista. "Which way should I go? Just keep going up!" We wandered around some High Sierra granite, manzanita, and sugar pine.
