Photoessay #2889 - Fourth of Juiy

Two scenics in a row?

Why not?

Today we went to the July 4 picnic at Dennis' family's cabin on Harstene Island.  South Sound looking out on Pickering Passage.  Pretty good time.  From the first picture, you can see that Naomi came.  And Teddy too.  He got to play ball with Shelby another mutt dog the same age who belongs to his Aunt Eliza who is actually younger than he is.

Naomi is relaxing in front of the cabin near the water.  Thinking maybe how pleasant it was, maybe 70 degrees.  And how hot Phoenix is.

A pretty spot.  Nowhere near yesterday's picture.   But both part of Western Washington.

Fun time with a lot of great food, cooked by Jim and Eliza and from the general pot luck.  Too bad I didn't take a picture of my fruit salad "This is the good stuff!" I said.  That's from the dark rich local strawberries, raspberries and tayberries.  The good stuff.  It all went.

Second picture was Grandma Anne who was doing well down near the water with Dennis and Naomi.

The theme from this group is that none of us NONE of us want to be disabled.  Naomi was the only 'kid' there and she's 24.
