My second cousin Joan's daughter Melissa got married recently. I met Melissa at the Cousin Extravaganza hosted by my second cousin Flash in Manhattan. Was that really less than a year ago? Melissa, a graduate student, talked about being engaged when we sat in Flash's distinctive long apartment looking down on some street in midtown Manhattan.
So here's a picture. Congratulations Peter and Melissa!
The bridesmaids show off a great new approach pioneered by Davids Bridal but likely other people also do it. You pick out a color and then the bridesmaids can pick out a dress which come in all the colors. So here's a robins egg blue and each bridesmaid picks the dress style best for her. And it all goes together. Brilliant!
Alas, the tall thin genes skipped my side of the family.
And is that Aunt Flash with the long black gloves crouching in the aisle with the camera? My money's on that!

You're right about which one is Flash for sure! Just wanted to add that the bridesmaid's dresses were all the same, bought at Target, but they were "infinity dresses" that come with long wraps so they can be tied on in a multitude of ways. Makes them pretty versatile (and, being Target, cheap) which were my two goals if I was going to make someone have to wear a dress in the first place. :)
