Photoessay #2407 - Wedding preparations

I spent the afternoon before the wedding 'on location' because I brought Melina for the rehearsal at noon.  So I stayed around to help as I could.  Melina and I went to Macy's to have our makeup done.  Big primping going on all afternoon both in the bridal suite and in the preparation room downstairs.

Melina (age 12) really really wanted to have the fake eyelashes that the bridesmaids were wearing.  She convinced the maid of honor Cat to put some on her.  The picture shows the deed.  For some reason there was a long mirror which was laying sideways on the floor; I think it's usual position was mounted upright so you could get a whole image of yourself.  In the background, you can see other bridesmaids absorbed in doing makeup and hair sitting on the floor in a row in front of the mirror.  They looked SO busy.

And I also help.  A shot of me putting on my son's cufflinks.  The fancy ones.  He always has liked to look sharp (my father's term).  The mother of the groom helping out her son.  Fun!
