Photoessay #2847 - Back to the rehearsal dinner

My husband and I hosted the 'rehearsal dinner' last Friday evening at Ivar's Salmon House, a Seattle landmark restaurant on Lake Union.  We wanted somewhere distinctive able to handle a large crowd.  This place worked great; the banquet room has a sweeping view of the lake and city.  Buffet dinner was delicious.  The restaurant expertly handled the arrival of some late guests.  Approximately 50 guests.

The party held no rehearsal at the rehearsal dinner; that was at noon the next day.  But it did provide an excellent opportunity for the two families to meet and the wedding party to connect with each other.  Melina got to meet Jessica's younger sisters and pal around with them.

We did not pay for any alcohol but there were some tabs being run up by others.  The party was lively and loud.  I think everybody had a good time.

Danny and Jessica gave a little talk in the middle.  Our party split up.  Behind Danny on the right you can see Denny and Mary Ann (my cousin), Charlie (my brother) and Matt (Ilana's boyfriend) on the very right.

I think I took this picture.
