Ilana and Matt ar now the proud owners of a refurbished 3D printer.I didn't know what it was either. I thought maybe it printed pretty fancy pictures or big pictures or something printerish.
But, no, the name refers to the product. It actually makes things. Like parts for automatic cat feeders. It's the next cool thing for aspiring engineers. Matt really wanted one so they eventually worked it out. So far, I know he's made a whistle.
It's installed in their basement (appropriate for a geeky tool). They're moving to a bigger house nearby later in the summer. They really liked their cute bungalow but the owner had other plans. Rents can be cheap in midwestern towns and you can get a pretty nice house for a price unheard of here in Seattle.
So I hope he has fun with it!
