Photoessay #1905 - Making Breakfast

My four adult kids plus one extra (Matt) making xmas breakfast this morning. Susanna's working on the eggs and sausage, Ilana's making the buttermilk waffles. Naomi was in charge of setting the table. Matt's taking care of the sparkling cider. I had cut up the pastries and making fruit salad.

If you look, you can see Teddy the dog hopeful that he can snag a waffle. Danny's hurrying everybody along because he didn't arrive until 9:15 and has to leave by 10:30 because he has to work at the restaurant.

Our decorative hanukah candles are in the menorah. The spray bottle of cleaner is a vestige of a garlic disaster earlier. I had dumped a whole Costco size jar of cut up garlic on the floor, fishing for something else in the refrigerator. Since it was me who last used it, the top was not on tight enough and a large amount of garlic dumped on the floor, me, the cupboard and the rug we have in front of sink.

We had the big breakfast, everything on schedule, gave the presents (everybody gives and gets one present, $30 max). My kids liked the green blankets my sister sent. I made more fruit salad and we all, except Danny, went to my sister in law's where we populated most of the party (this has been the case for us all along). Too much food!

Now Ilana and Matt are down at a fancy restaurant downtown with his mom and step dad. Really would not want more food!
