We've gotten everything done that I wanted.
Today we spent the morning at Jewish Historical Society, more and more Maier Zunder clippings. The highlight was a side search for Mary Ann. Back in the day there was a Secret. Which I kind of knew. Which was that Mary Ann's mother had been married before she married her father. She had married a soldier right before he shipped out in WW II and then she got a 'Dear Jane' later saying ... saying ... something. When she wanted to get married again she, like many others in her situation, went out to Nevada and got a divorce.
Mary Ann knew his name Seveliwitz, aaack I've already forgotten how to spell it. We found the announcement in a scrapbook (first name Abraham) and then Marvin, the archivist climbed up wayyyy high and came down with a scrapbook of Jewish soldiers in WW II and found a record, anyway I have some cool pictures. Plus we did a bunch of squealing.
And we went out to the cemetary even though it was cold and rainy and we couldn't find my parent's stones. Mary Ann, Denny and I searched and searched, finally found it but I'll have some pictures for that too.
Going home tomorrow! Many thanks to my cousins for hosting me.
No pictures from this trip because I can't get wireless for my net book and Mary Ann and I don't know how to process pictures on this machine. I would have to make the pictures smaller at the very least.
I have a large amount of Maier Zunder material, huge.
