This picture appears on Ilana's professional site that she's put together as part of her search for a professional librarian job when she graduates from the University of Michgan this spring.
I like this picture a lot. I like the off-center presentation with the other side of the image substantial looking marble implying a strong academic background. The colors are mild and in the same value (nothing way brighter than anything else. She looks serious but not severe.
I'm confident that she will find a good professional job even in these hard times. The librarian community still exists and there's often emphasis on early career applicants.
