Photoessay #1556 - Those dang traffic cameras

What I want to know is...

Where are the teenage vandals when you need them??

A little bb gun action might be what's called for. I'm talking about those dang traffic cameras which naiil otherwise law-abiding citizens. Really more a money stream for the small city of Lake Forest Park. This particular one is located two blocks over from the elementary school. You have to go under 20mph 7-9:30am and 2-4:40 pm

See how well they have me trained?

And, if you forget, you get flashed. Even if it's hours before school starts. Then you get the bill for some amount over $120. You can moan and get the fine reduced. Everybody I know has gotten these tickets. Me more than once. There's no recourse.

I certain want to keep the kids safe. But I'm more likely to run over a kid because I'm staring at my speedometer making sure I don't go over 20 mph.

So a little vandalism would be in order, don't you think? As Dennis grandfather used to say "What you see when you don't got a gun!"

I noticed our local little revenue source being serviced this morning on my way back from my Inner Circle writing group.

This time's prompt was "The first time". I wrote about the first time I realized I could read.

Next prompt is "Your memories of the day that JFK was assassinated"
