I know this is really a good idea, it's just making it all come together. Not getting enough buy in right now.
I will have a chance to buy a week's stay at Oviedo House in Saint Augustine, Florida. It was built about 100 years ago as a rooming house for nursing students in a nearby college. Saint Augustine, founded in 1565 is the oldest city in the US and has lots of interesting sites. Also near the beach. It's the childhood home of a Changes group member.
I can bid at the Changes Auction in a few weeks, bidding will start at 1/2 price. Since the auction is in Seattle, Washington, it would seem odd that someone would want a place in Florida. But I know a number of people who have purchased the week stay and had a wonderful time. The main house is quite large, can handle up to 18 people. Perfect place for a family reunion.
I'm trying to convince my brother and sister that we should get together in the spring in Saint Augustine. Haven't got much traction yet and I need to know pretty soon. Dennis started out with "I never want to go to Florida" stance but then, when he looked at it, he thought differently. 'This place looks like it might be interesting, I wouldn't mind going."
So sibs, let's get some though processes going. My friend says that spring is the best time to go.
Actually, this is exactly the kind of place I find for us to stay on vacations and Dennis always ends up liking them. Just a little different, a little local.
