Photoessay #1500 - Summer of Love
Teddy has had a Summer of Love and he doesn't want it to end. "Don't ever change!" he pleads. And, please, please, don't go away. Because I LOVE you! I love everybody!
The hits have kept on happening and Teddy has been in on every one. First Naomi's been here since the beginning of May. Not only that but he's convinced Naomi that she can make a bed in her room for him and he can sleep in there with her! And Starbaby (the diminutive but extremely opinionated tabby cat) too!. Just one big slumber party all summer long. We don't really expect him to sleep by himself do we?
Matt arrived the middle of June and he's a big Teddy fan. He invented the "Oh Teddy Teddy Teddy" game where he scratches my ears. Then Ilana was here for about a month and, though almost everybody went to work, I was right on hand to welcome them back home.
Susanna's been here a bunch working on the yard. Really fun things like raking and mowing and pruning. I'm right on board next to her and she throws that ball sometimes and she throws it far.
Not only that but Melina's been here a lot during the weekends and the first thing she wants to do is throw the ball for me. I bring it back every time. I'm all for that ANY TIME. My favorite game.
James, the contractor, well I've really always liked him and he likes me too. He's sure that my reputed pit ancestry is what makes me so sweet and devoted. I LOVE James. He and his people have been doing some pretty scary things upstairs involving a lot of pounding and sawing. During those times, I stay downstairs right next to mom because it's too scary for me. But I love hanging with him when I can.
With all of these people being here, what's not to like? I've had a great time.
Though I'm not especially in the know, tomorrow Dad is taking me with him to the Kent Service fields to watch softball games. I love those softball girls. I can greet them when they take the field and greet them again when they come off. They keep me pretty busy. He's watching four separate teams so I will have a lot to do.
And Sunday, I get to go to cabin on Harstene Island with everybody. Looks like the van will be completely full of people including Grandma Anne, Melina, Danny, Jessica, etc. I have so much fun at the cabin. There's lots of people to throw the ball, It's right on Pickering Passage, part of Puget Sound so I can do a little swimming. Plus the food! There's LOTS of food and usually people share.
It's been a blast. This summer's been the best but seems to be slipping away. Matt and Ilana went to Ann Arbor and Naomi's busy with her pre-autumn class. She can't be going back to college! What shall I do?
