Photoessay #1156 - This year's xmas shot

Family shot taken at our xmas breakfast this morning. As usual we drew names, $40 maximum. Which seems plenty to me. Everybody just gets to give a gift but they just have to get one. And everybody receives one. Works out fine. Jessica (Danny's girlfriend) was added to the mix this year. We had a big breakfast with homemade buttermilk waffles, egg, sausage, pastry, fruit. We opened a big bottle of some kind of non-alcoholic probably expensive 'culinary beverage' that Dennis had received as a gift. Nobody liked it and we reverted to sparkling cider.

Later, I took Teddy to dog park (plenty of people there). Meanwhile Grandma Anne came and Dennis and Ilana took her to Uncle Alan's for the Hartley family gathering. Ilana went specifically to update Aunt Jenny on the library school's happenings as Jenny, a retired librarian, contributed.

Dennis made his cheesecake to take with him. Which is delicious and he makes it about every 10 years. Susanna's here working on her art work; they're watching "Wayne's World" upstairs.

Danny brought 9 month old Maddie (yorkie poo) and she showed how dominant she could be over Teddy who's likely 5 times her size. We introduced them to the 'nuclear option', breath spray sprayed in a dog's mouth when they need a 'correction'. That bad dog thing.

But all ok here
