Photoessay #1094 - Ilana's roomies plus one
Ilana has been attending a masters program at the School of Information at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Do not even ASK about the out of state fee. So far it's been a success in lots of ways. She loves the program, challenged by the classes, has a good job in the law library. And great roommates.
She didn't know anybody in the program, never been there when she was accepted there. But, at the last moment, decided to go to the 'Michigan Days' orientation in the spring. She heard you could find a job and roommates if you go. Actually her attendance helped a ton with both.
She met Emily and Adriana at Michigan Days, both coming to the program from different states. Both also looking for roommates. So after knowing each other for just a few hours, they decided to throw their lot in together. And it's worked out great so far. They rent the upper two floors of a house on a bus line in Ann Arbor.
Last weekend they decided to go on a roommate trip to Chicago. They toured the Chicago Public Library, went to some museums and visited Ilana's high school friend Nicole who attends art school in Chicago. (Pam, your possible Thanksgiving guest). They did miss their train back but eventually arrived back in Ann Arbor safe and sound.

Good times in the midwest!
