Photoessay #1048 - More of Jonathan's wedding

A few more pictures from Jonathan's wedding this past weekend. The first two showcase the venue, Crystal Springs outside of Port Orchard. First looking from the actual ceremony venue over to the flat platform where all set up tables with the pavilion where the actual they served the buffet and later used for dancing. Second shot shows the area surrounded by water where they had the actual wedding took place. Beautiful. But you are so screwed if it rains. Which it did that morning and later that evening. But not during the wedding or the reception, yay!

The wedding conducted by a family friend of the bride's concentrated on contributions by the couple and refreshingly free of doctrinaire references that I might have expected. Very moving and personal.

Remember that great viral you-tube video of the wedding party dancing down the aisle? So cute and joyful. The processional exit to catchy music was designed for the wedding party to dance out in the same way. Some did, some didn't. Here the best man Keith (older brother of the groom) rocks out while the matron of honor (older sister of the bride) not so much. The father of the bride and stepfather of the groom look on. You go Keith!!!

Did I mention that the groom and his family (including Keith) live next door to me? Jonathan was like my 5th kid. Coincidentally, my other 'honorary 5th kid' Janine became engaged the very same weekend. Congratulations Jonathan! Congratulations Janine!

Last shot during the reception of myself, Dennis, the bridal couple, and Susanna, Jonathan's best buddy all during their childhood.

And I still have the wedding presents in my basement.....
