Photoessay #1056 - Mom in the woods

I've inherited all of my parents' photo albums. It's not really worth keeping lots of most of them. They went on a lot of trips esp in the 80s and 90s. Only the ones with them in them are interesting. Hard to toss them but I will.

No worries, dear reader, I have TONS of material.

This shot of my mom next to a REALLY big tree. Undated. I'm thinking it's from the Olympic Peninsula. For several years, my parents attended every elderhostel in Washington State. The idea was to come visit us (with the somewhat overwhelming 4 grandchildren) for awhile on either side of the event. They enjoyed them quite a bit, they went to the San Juans, Olympic Peninsula, Astoria, Gig Harbor, one in Seattle.

Wouldn't mind doing some of them myself 'one of these days'

My mom loved forests and trees. The old girl scout in her. She enjoyed being outside and seeing new things. Had to be in the 1990s sometime.

Oregon softball lost to Missouri today in the super regionals so Missouri advances but they had a great season under their new coach Mike White.
