My mother made beautiful needlepoint covers for her dining room chairs. Now I have those chairs. I'm a bit concerned that they will get dirty or wrecked but so far so good. Beautiful work, I've featured 4 of the six. One of the chairs is in the garage, it doesn't really fit.
These chairs are surprisingly comfortable. good back support. I'm glad that they found a home. Really, nobody in the family had a place for them. I thought that they would be 'too nice' for our lifestyle. But we worried about the needlepoint. At the last minute, I decided to give them a try; I had a whole moving van load coming anyway.
But so far, so good.
In other news, Dennis and I went to another SIFF movie "Nowhere Boy" based on John Lennon's teenage life and his conflict with his mother and his aunt who parented him.
And the Oregon Duck softball team won their NCAA Regional and are on their way to the Super-Regionals. They've never won a Regional before. Mike White with his two brainy assistants have turned the team around big time. For awhile, I thought the Ducks might host and I had convinced Dennis to go to Eugene for them. But it's the seed of the team, before the seed of the Region. The Ducks won Region 8 and will play the winner of Region 9. But Missouri was the #1 team of the Region so they get to host. Dang.

It's great to know that you found a home for these beautifully stitched needlepoint chairs. Your mom did fantastic work!
