We go to Japan in 10 days. As I mentioned, we will be accompanied on this trip. I'm surprised on how ignorant I am about sights to see in Japan. And Japan in general. Of course, we've all heard about it and seen pictures and know about the products. But about the place?
Our basic itinerary:
3 days in Yamagata
3 days in Kyoto
3 days in Tokyo
So, always the armchair traveler, I look for sights to see. I have a guidebook and, reading the section on Kyoto, you soon get lost in all of the dozens of beautiful historic temples. My puny American mind can hardly keep any of them straight especially at a distance.
I know Nouuko will take us around. She'll know what to see. We've already heard that we will be attending a 'Cherry Blossom Party" on Saturday. Natsuko says that workplaces often have Cherry Blossom Parties during that season. After work everyone gathers under the blossoming trees.
But here's a beautiful place, the Yamadera temple. Check it out! However it takes 1110 steps to climb to the top. That's the stuff I have to watch out for.
