Today, I spent doing some errands for my mom and spending time with her in the skilled nursing unit. More specifically an hour or so before lunch and dinner and then the meal itself.
I liberated her mail from the neighbor, made some phone calls, messed around with her jewelry, wrote a thank you note for her. In the afternoon I went to the Penney's outlet and bought some stuff. Hardly anything there costs more than $10.
When we were eating dinner, she said "Watch this place clear out at 6:30. Everybody want to get back to their rooms and watch 'What's My Line'. Even I watched it once!"
Right after dinner, she wanted to visit some more but she really was so tired. She comments "It really takes a lot of energy just to chew, I never knew that".
As I walked down the hall, true enough, sounds of the quiz show came out of every single room....
