Photoessay #516 - Happy Birthday Dennis

Today is my husband Dennis' 56th birthday. Our daughter Susanna offers to host a dinner at her apartment for the family but things get complicated and maybe it won't happen until Thursday. I promised to make a pineapple upside down cake for dinner.

But what about tonight. Maybe I will get him his favorite burrito from the taco place. It could happen.

I have two really good presents for him this year. He doesn't read the blog very often so he'll never know, right? I bought him two sets of six packs of tickets to the Seattle International Film Festival. He always means to go and is very interested in film. The second set is really for me to go with him. But maybe one of his daughters would like to go with him? I also bought him a book, forget the title exactly, it's wrapped up, something like "A Hundred ways to attract birds to your backyard" or similar. He loves his herd (he includes the squirrels).

I will feature a now and then group. One from his childhood, I think from 1955, with his sister Victoria. He's maybe 3 or 4 years old? Cute kids! And a contemporary photo.

His parents have passed away. But his birthmom reads and is involved with our family. I know she will read it. Greetings to Grandma Ann!!!
