Don't know if I will take the trouble to figure out the usb port on my late father's computer.
I have many pictures from today but what at 4:55 pm seems to be important.
My brother surprised me with a beautiful stained glass piece, it's stunning. He had made a smaller version which he had left with my mother. It's abstract, he calls it mosaic but to me it recalls a crazy quilt. He's going to ship it to me.
Also, he is planning to make my sister a piece for her bat mitzvah in April. He had a provisional design including a treble clef and an 'everlasting light' found in Jewish temples. But she also loves the abstract mosaic piece. So, he pondered, should I ask her which one she would like. He likes the surprise factor but, in the end, decided to ask her. She was so pleased that he was designing her a piece, just thrilled. She would like a piece like mind, she's taken with the 'riot of color'. They discussed the possibility of a mosaic piece that would have a star of david (maybe transformed or distorted) within the piece that would only subtly appear.
The main thing I see here, my mom is not eating. She reported that she has lost her appetite, just doesn't eat. I've been here a few days and I haven't seen her eat anything. We've done quite a few restaurant meals and she doesn't eat. Yesterday, we had some leftovers from the night before, she would not eat it. We had a lovely lunch at the Anderson gardens and she didn't eat a bite. She will die if she doesn't eat, it can be such a downward spiral. She's in good spirits, a good attitude, many interests, seems mentally ok, but, if you don't eat, you will die. Sometimes old people just do this, maybe they feel they're ready for the next step?
Soon, (like in the next half hour), we will prepare a dinner here, we'll see if she eats.
A picture from my brother's camera that he put on my new memory stick of my mom with one of my brother's cats which he regularly brings to visit.
