I'm home again! Made it through OHare and back home, Always so glad to get home. I have to admit that picture of my mother I put up yesterday is pretty frightening.
But here's a shot of Mosaic 2 which my brother made for me. I love it! He had made a smaller one for my mom which I had been admiring since the start of my visit and then he surprised me with this! I think we should call it 'Crazy Quilt' I don't actually have it yet, seemed to risky to take it home on the plane. He says he will send it to me.
My latest idea is to put hang it in the window over the front door. Then it would have a special place, it wouldn't be drarfed by large living room window. The strong colors and contemporary abstract might not mesh too well with the blues and tans/antique furniture in the living room.
But we'll see. What's so fun is that the piece looks markedly different as the light changes during the day. Sometimes one color or type of glass has center stage, you look an hour later and something else stands out. And in the dark again, completely different.
