Photoessay #467 - Bananas Foster

Great dinner last night at the Greater G's. Uncle Jerry was in town visiting and he loves to cook. You always want a dinner invite when Jerry's here. I got to see Linda and Nancy's new home. What a great place!!! These two sisters along with Nancy's daughter Janina have lived together for many years. They love to be together but they've recognized for awhile that they need their own space too. So they're leasing two side by side townhomes in a residential area of Shoreline. An urban flavor with mixed use in this modest area, coffee shop and a very popular bargain movie theatre a half block away. Lease to own, this could really work out. Beautiful units, between them, they have six bedrooms and six bathrooms. Janina, now 21, has two rooms and a bath downstairs. Plenty of room for Jerry and others when they come to visit.

They are working on modifying the wall between the two adjoining balconies so they can easily get from one unit to the other without going down the stairs and around. Small yard in back modified so their pets can go back and forth (currently a year old pug Daisy and 5 (?) cats. We had dinner at Linda's place and dessert at Nancy's next door. That way we got two kitchens dirty.

Back to the Banans Foster, a flaming thing with some liquer, maybe cinnamon butter sauce, served over ice cream. I got a flambe shot, then one with the chef. And the result? Mmmmmm.
