Photoessay #485 - Green Streaks

I've been a baaaad soccer parent this year. Have been down on my attendance. But somehow a u19 rec team... do parents really have to go? Brilliant October afternoon, you don't get too many of those around here. Afternoon game at the local soccer field. Naomi plays defender on the Green Streaks. The team lost 6-1 or similar. But a good time. I show an action shot. Must be my theme for this weekend.

That's an interesting feature of writing a daily blog, themes emerge before you even know it. Pictures emerge too, some shots that you really think will spark an entry turn out dull and out of focus. Then sometimes, something will just jump out at you from your collection of shots.

Hard for a layperson to come up with a good sports shot, this seemed the best of the lot I took this afternoon. Had to have the ball, feature Naomi and be in reasonably good focus. Here's your pic with Naomi in the middle.

Don't know too many parents but some seem to go around in anxiety circles around colleges.
