Every few months, we take Melina on an outing. For a long time we always went to Ferrell-McWherter park in Redmond which contained a collection of farm animals. Always somebody new to see! Between the pigs and goats and sheep and cows and horses and chickens and ducks and rabbits. Something always going on. One time there was a turkey up in the rafters making a huge racket. Another time Saphooey told me she had heard that the pig had babies. Well, we HAD to go and check that out. Sure enough, pig babies right there. Feed grass to the horses, sometimes you can pet them. One time a bunny gave Melina a little kiss. Take a little walk through the woods, there's even a ring where people can practice with their horses.
To tell you the truth, we ALL enjoyed going to the animal farm. Susanna said "I think I had more fun than she did", we all liked it. But now, Melina has decided that she's tired of the animal farm and she wants to go other places.
Dang, we miss the animals. We could go without Melina, I guess but she was such a great excuse and it made a fine outing.
I'm trying to get hold of Saphooey, we've decided to go on the tour of the Boeing plant next. See them make airplanes.
