Photoessay #458 - Squirrels Drink

Did you know that squirrels drink? Here's your proof. Yesterday afternoon, I photographed this thirsty squirrel taking a drink out of the dog's water bowl. Luckily, the dog is too elderly and deaf to know about it. She's so gentle she probably wouldn't even chase him off.

Sometimes exciting surprising things can take place, literally, in your own backyard. Is it our circumstances, times or age which keeps us so close to home? Does it give you more stability and resources for insight or is just limiting and dull? Green pressure discourages traveling and commuting which gobble up the resources. Myself, I have a great capacity for inner exploration, there are many things I want to think, read and write about. Not, by the way, to clean, organize or garden. Nor graphic or handwork crafts. I tend to the inner cerebral tasks.

Still, I'm waiting for Naomi to come home with the car so I can go find a letterbox. It's time to get out, don't you think?

That is TOO cute! And it's always OK and time to find a letterbox!

Hi Sandy,
Look, I'm commenting.
I love this picture of the squirrel drinking from the dog's waterdish. What an adventurer! I wonder if he makes a habit of it?

I'm extremely excited that you finally followed my order for a picture of a squirrel. Now I would like a picture of Naomi.

Also: saw Collen Salmi on campus today. She had a great "so this is college" look on her face.
