Today, Gin and I went to the Snohomish Mini-meet, a letterboxing picnic in Forest Park in Everett. A whole lot of stamping going on there, tons of stamps and ink pads and markers. Lots of exchanging and greeting and stamping. My hands are full of ink. Gin and I learned a ton about stamping, how to use the pads and the markers, how to carve, design ideas. Myself, I am much more interested in planting than stamping. But this event was about stamping. Kids can really be involved with this, it's a fun aspect. They can carve, they can find the boxes. One little boy gave me some very reasoned perceptive critiques of my boxes, their locations and clues. I implored him to please find my Linwood Park box and put it back on the ledge, hope he does it. The folks in this picture are very engaged. Beautiful day in a beautiful park. Gin and I found 4 boxes at the end, all Captain Raehawks, one Valkyrie was just there for that very day.
