I feel better since taking down the picture of the crashed car. I do feel the need for graphic documentation of what happened. But too sharp and too violent. Car crashes, the sound, the destruction, the possibility of massive painful permanent injury reverberate through that twisted metal.
Naomi is not severely injured, she escaped. But so so close. All around us but who of us wants to really contemplate it. Not me!
Like war, genocide and torture, I guess.
So, let's change gears big time. Let's go for the quiet beauty around us. One of my favorite places this summer. Edmonds Beach. I think this was a trip where I took the dog letterboxing. All over the beach, it says 'no dogs'. Driftwwod, birds, Puget Sound, people enjoying the beach, the Olympics in the background.
