Naomi turns 18 years old today. My youngest, my baby, reaches the age of majority, legally an adult Who knew that this day would ever come.
She had a small party this afternoon, her parties have always been hard because of the date Dec 16. But there were 5 attendees (wayyyy too much Costco pizza purchased and quite a bit of ice cream cake left over). Yikes for my attempt to limit calories :(
She wanted to play card games and we purchased a big bag of hershey kisses to use as gambling tokens. We ended up playing the game du jour for this year, Apples to Apples. Fun! I hate to admit that I stayed upstairs with the kids the whole time as I was enjoying myself so much. Later, after the cake, we played cards at the table and the young men taught us a number of poker sorts of games using the kisses. Quite fun until Dennis came up and reminded Naomi that it was time for the girl scout/brownie meeting.
