Photoessay #188 - Flowers for the memorial
Gowoon and I bought flowers for the memorial today at Costco. The retail community dictated by floral choices. But, even though I hate Christmas decor, in this case, going with the flow is the best path. Lanaya loved Christmas decorations. She had an elaborate collection of items for her home and decorating for the holidays was one of her greatest joys. So, it will all work out.
I bought
2 dozen red roses
2 dozen white roses
1 very large poinsettia
1 big xmas wreath
The memorial service will be small and just family, just our family. We will do a little ceremony just to see her off. We will leave the poinsettia and the wreath at the ceemetery so the sites will be 'decorated' for Christmas. We will decorate the coffin with the roses...or something.
Rich and festive colors of the season.

Looks very festive for the season and she would appreciate the effort! Deep green and red would be the colors I would expect in Seattle! Celebrate the happy times rather than the conclusion that was so sad.
