Photoessay #115 - Jewel Impatiens
Back in early June, I (with my somewhat reluctant family) planted some pots with annuals including some that go by my front door. Impatiens does very well in the front, I've had good results in the past. I bought these particular plants at the local retail nursery, 'the good stuff', not from in front of the grocery store (though they also do well) with a gift certificate. "Jewel Impatiens" I love jewel colors
Now, in September, check out how they've grown! They've all meshed together, practically look like one big plant. At the bottom, I will include a picture of a week or so after we planted them.
No comment about the rest of my yard....

I planted impatiens for the first time this year...white ones with a lavender 'eye'. Like yours, they are gigantic. I'll definitely plant them again next year. My vincas that I planted in full sun are also enormous and a keeper.
PRetty flowers! Good job!
Mine are on the way out. Too much heat and not enough water at the right time. Oh well, I had lttle red tomatoe's this year along with a good crop of red sweet peppers. All in pots on my back porch. Planting in the dirt is way to much work when you live on solid clay!
