Some pictures from the Lederer Abele cousin gathering held at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, a reform congregation in New Brunswick New Jersey. We are all descendants of Samuel and Marie Lederer (my great great grandparents. The greater family gave a torah to the synagogue. About thirty people came. Our Team Clara was the largest contingent. I deliver. We had all kinds of things including a historical document designed by Ellen. On good quality paper with archival grade pens, we all got a chance to prove we were here and to send a message to the generations in the future. Ellen made 4 pages just in case, and we filled all the pages.
We also had time in the sanctuary with the torah. That's my sister Pam and second cousin Beth Ann unrolling it. Pam sang a 'shecheyanu" prayer accompanied by a sound file from her rabbi. Everybody liked that.
A great time and delicious lunch.
