Today, we took our little trip while our housekeeper was here to the small towns on Hwy 2 on this side of Stevens Pass.

It rained the whole time and we did not take Teddy. He had to stay home with our housekeeper. Who likes him. Everybody likes him. Because he's such a good boy.
Still it was a beautiful drive up into the foothills, woe unto the mountains. We always like Hwy 2. We ate lunch at this place, Mountain View Diner in Gold Bar. Which was excellent, highly recommend. And get this, we ate INSIDE at a booth. Haven't been able to do that in months.
Dennis always likes Index which is off the road over a railroad bridge on the Skykomish river. The last bit of civilization before the pass. Cute little town if you like small right on the river and up against the mountain. Something about it seems creepy to me.
