My 19 year old grandaughter Melina called me today and came over for dinner with her boyfriend Chris. Huge event for me as I've not seen her for 5 1/2 years. She wanted to talk about the dog and ended up playing fetch with him. We talked about some of the things we used to do, the letterboxing and the museums. She seemed at ease and indicated that she wanted to have further contact. Go out for coffee, wanted to see Susanna and Naomi.
Lucky for me that I had the ability to turn a dinner for one (Dennis was going to a meeting) into a nice dinner for four. Abra cadabra. Hint: adding more pasta with butter and cheese always work.
Boyfriend was nice; supportive.
Glad it all happened
