This year we had a change. Susanna and Megan hosted the Christmas breakfast, not me. And did a great job. Ilana still made the waffles here (quadruple batch) and brought them over to Susanna's (she lives just blocks away) with the idea of recrisping them in the oven.
Worked out great because we sat right down to breakfast. Afterward we open the presents (every adult buys one present and gives one present) and went home. We ended up with the leftover waffles which we ate the next day. They were wonderful toasted with butter and jam.
I think people enjoy giving their own present the most.
Love those waffles but we only make the once/year.
