Neighbor hit by a car

In New Orleans CBD.  I won't say she's ok because she's not.  She escaped with broken ribs and a scalp wound that took a lot of stitches.  And a lot of bruises.  But nothing life-threatening or disabling.  Middle of the day, they were in a crosswalk, , good weather, not a busy intersection.  Just somebody making a right turn in a SUV and not watching where they were going. 

Yikes not a good idea at all.  I brought them some homemade chicken soup.  Broken ribs involves a lot of pain and long recovery process esp if you're over 70.  Wish I could think of something that could make a difference and make this misfortune go away.
