Last night, we had an opportunity to meet our very favorite politician, Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson. "Fightin' Bob" we call him. His office has filed many lawsuits against the Trump Administration. Including the first travel ban lawsuit. Against 3D printed guns, Against the 'conscience rule' in health care. Against the Wall Emergency. Against changes to environmental laws. Supported same sex marriage. Established legal aid clinics. The list goes on and on. He and his staff work tirelessly.
The event was part of Meaningful Movies that Dennis is active in. Last night's movie was about Fred Korematsu and the Japanese Internment. He had prepared a presentation specifically about that. He came on time with one Washington Patrol escort.
He mentioned his criteria for bringing a lawsuit:
Does it affect Washington State?
Do we have a strong case?
Does the Attorney General have standing?
If he can answer those questions, he goes for it.
