Smith Tower but no Aid NW shift

We ended up not working the shift at AID NW at the detention center yesterday.  Turns out that the shift leader had to add people (especially Spanish speakers) to make she had enough people and we were listed as backups for October.  Maybe November, I think we are listed for that shift.  Had dog babysitting and everything.  If you don't do it for awhile, you kinda get rusty.

But here's a good picture that Dennis took the other night when we attended a fund-raising event for Changes.  This is from the veranda on the 22nd floor of the Smith Tower; a historic building near Pioneer Square.  I think for awhile this building (it's 30+ stories) was the tallest building west of the Mississippi.  Now, it's dwarfed by the other big buildings.  I don't remember ever being in there; it was fun.  Nice sunset.
