Archives Fair

First an update on J Rickards Winery.  The fire, still burning, burned south and east away from them.  They are no longer in the evacuation area.

Today, Dennis and I attended an Archives Fair put on by City of Seattle Municipal Archives (led by my friend Anne F.) in honor of the city's 150th birthday.  Held at city hall, we took the bus.  I was surprised in that I either knew the people or had used the archives from almost all represented.  Of course, University of Washington, Jeremy and our new archivist, Ryan, were both there.  I had brought a copy of PNQ with my article just in case I might find something to do with it.  Aha, gave it to Ryan who looked impressed and thought it was important.  The Seattle Genealogical Society run by my buddies.  Hey, I got some pictures from MOHAI, from the City Archives, even from King County Archives.  King County Library archives, I know the person running the table and I've gotten material from their Seattle Room.  So I was there with a lot of people I know.

Because we knew Teresa (my niece) was going to be late, we stayed for the speaker at noon.

Yes, that's Dennis at the center of the snapshot.
