Our Access Student Group puts on a lot of programs. It's all about event planning. There's a lot I really about this. I love the idea that our Access student group, an RSO (Registered Student Organization) at the University of Washington can put on programs at UW using UW facilities and UW personnel (if they will). And it can be a quality program and we can do it.
I am always terrified that nobody will show up. But they always do. Here's a recent program we put on, A preview of the new Burke Museum that will be opening in the fall. We asked a speaker to come and she did a great job. We had over 20 people attend.
But this week, we have a really good program, a big time program A faculty panel on
Racism. Featuring two excellent popular faculty speakers. I've taken classes from both of them; it's going to be very interesting and compelling.
And, I as usual, though I'm doing everything I can think of, am worried that people won't come. But I know they will. We are very privileged to have these speakers. Write me at sandy@dsbarnes.com if you are interested.
