Red Flower

In December, Silas (Dennis' Little Brother) gave us this box that had a plant in it.  Or something.  It was a hostess gift when he came over for latkes.  When I got around to opening it and looking at the directions, it had already sprouted and had some sad wilted small red flowers.  I planted it in the little container but figured that I did it wrong.  Eventually I pruned down the stalk.  Maybe something would happen.  A few days later, it grew straight up, fast!  Eventually it had a bud on it and look at it now.  Four big red flowers.  Pretty astonishing!
