Last night, in the pouring dark rain, we went to the last of our holiday parties; we had 3 this year. Megan's Pops employee party at the shop, Pat and Heather's client party at the Nordic museum and Juan's party.
At Juan's restaurant. He makes the best Mexican food, nobody else comes close. We go there once a week because Dennis says "It's the law." He hasn't had a party for a long time. But he invites his customers and he makes big bunches of food and your money is no good. Last night he made flautas, tamales, ceviche, guacamole (of course) and fried chicken strips. Naomi came, she just lives a few blocks from there.
And a Mariachi Band. And, if Juan gets in the mood, he sings. And he did. An excellent band, the evening ended with all of us (including Dennis) dancing and rocking out to La Bamba. Fun! Juan's rocking out too.
