Salt Lake City Genealogy trip
Here we are!
My genealogy buddies and I just got back from a 4.5 day trip to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. We missed you Janice L.! We all took a 3 quarter class on Genealogy and Family History from UW in 2011-2. And we've stuck together ever since. One day last spring at a get-together, I asked Jill (really our leader, second from right) that a long time ago she had talked about leading trips to this library. Did she ever do it? How did it work? She said that she hadn't because nobody had ever signed up to do it. One of us said, why don't *we* do it? Go to Salt Lake City! Unanimous agreement, let's GO! So we did. Proof!
It was a great trip, I came up with one main thing (remember what I'm always not looking for) which I will write up soon. I also learned a lot about using family search, just being there and interacting. Worth the trip!
Beautiful weather and we shard a fabulous airbnb house nearby.
