BGEEZY

My son's oldest friend and best man at his wedding, son of our friends, I helped at his birth.

He's a DJ, though he's considered 'old' for this job at age 32.  I admit to knowing just about nothing about this art form.  What sets things apart, how it's supposed to work.  I've never hung out at dance clubs.  But Ben makes a living at this.  I'm listening to a Capital Hill Block Party mix right now.  It's smooth to my ear.

Anyway, he's playing at Bumbershoot this year in an early evening shift.  Bumbershoot, an arts festival at Seattle Center every Labor Day Weekend.  Free when it started about the time we got to Seattle (late 1970s) now $75/day/person.

Here's the writeup from the Bumbershoot website

Fueled by a combination of taco truck food and booze, Bgeezy is a part-time human and full-time DJ from Seattle. He has a penchant for tank tops and fake gold jewelry, and his passion for music is matched only by the length of his mullet. A regular at Foundation, Aston Manor, The Baltic Room, and Kingdom Saturdays at Q Nightclub, he's also opened for a wide range of artists including A-Trak, Martin Solveig, MAKJ, Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, Bro Safari, The Chainsmokers, Feed Me, Kastle, Goldroom, Treasure Fingers, RAC, and gLAdiator. He’s played at most of the major festivals in the Northwest.
He did show up for the rehearsal dinner in a tank top....a cultural divide as Danny and Jessica were quite dressed up.  Just over a year ago.
