Photoessay #2887 - Maier Zunder again
Can you believe I'm messing with him again? I received an email from the editor of Connecticut History and the coordinator of the conference some months back calling for papers from all of the conference presenters for a special issue on Connecticut Cities. She indicated that she might not take the Maier Zunder paper as one of the four or five featured. Maybe there would be an anthology.
But, I can't let the opportunity pass. So out comes the Maier Zunder paper and I start screwing around with it. Leaving out parts, adding new parts, stripping out table of contents, bibliography etc. It's just about the right number of words. Due July 15.
Shortly after my injury, I wanted to work on it but just couldn't. Too much trauma, pain medication, steroids, homeopathic remedies. All I could do was sit and watch World Cup Soccer. Very frustrating.
But now I've gotten back on it. I've reduced it to 53 pages, Supposed to be 12-15K words. Sitting currently at 11,268. Why so many pages? Too many visuals. I've cut it down at least 11 pages. Needs more.
